I’m a little bit of a coffee snob and I have a very particular taste that I like. But I’m always looking for new coffee roasters. The first thing that stood out to me was how fresh the roast was. My bag of Bishenco, Kenya was roasted the week before it arrived. The smell was intoxicating and the roast was a nice even medium (hint dark roast is burnt). It took me two pour overs to find the right ratio for this roast and it is 15 grams of water to each gram of coffee if using a Hario V60. This is a smooth coffee with good flavor and definitely one I will keep in my rotation.
This is some great coffee! I made it today in my french press and then enjoyed it out of my Kapheino Bamboo Travel Mug while running errands. You don't need to add any creamer or sweetener to this coffee, I had it black and it was delicious. Great flavors, and woke me right up!
